I started working in orthodontics in 1997, and joined this awesome team after relocating to NC from Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2011. I have the pleasure of working with kids and parents in many areas of the practice, including with new patients as they set up insurance and billing. I enjoy watching how orthodontics changes people’s lives for the better, and seeing their beautiful smiles once treatment is completed! I feel like the people I work with are my extended family. I enjoy coming to our office and getting to work with great professionals who help change our patients’ lives by giving them beautiful smiles.

I am married with one adult daughter and a black lab. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, music, boating, four wheeling, and doing just about anything outdoors.

I am at the front of the office to greet each patient and parent as they arrive for their appointment while also answering phones, scheduling patients for upcoming appointments, verifying insurance, and numerous other administrative duties. Our patients and their families are the foundation of our practice, and I work hard to build and maintain relationships with them. Our team is a family; we are there for each other on a daily basis. Dr. Altherr has a passion for what he does, which shows through to our team and patients.

I grew up on a farm and have a history of showing horses and breeding and showing Anatolian Shepherd dogs. I have been married to my husband Ed for almost a decade, and we have five grandchildren. I also love to quilt.

I was born and raised in South Florida before moving to North Carolina in 2016.  I received my Associate in Arts at Wake Tech before deciding to become a certified dental assistant through Triangle School of Dental Assisting.  I started out in general dentistry, but I've always been passionate about orthodontics.  I love seeing the transformation our patients undergo through treatment!  I've been with Altherr Orthodontics since February, 2021, and I see each day as an opportunity to learn new things and see all of our wonderful patients.  I've been so grateful to have already built some lasting relationships with our team and patients.

In my spare time, I'm quite the home body!  I enjoy tending to my many houseplants, gaming and sewing.  I have four adorable pets (please ask me about them)!  I also love spending time with my amazing wife, hanging around the house or going thrift store shopping.

I was born and raised in Sanford, NC.  I obtained my Dental Assisting certification from the Sandhills Dental Career Center and have been in dentistry since 2018.

I love to learn and joined the A team in the fall of 2022.  I love meeting all of the wonderful patients and families.  In my spare time, I spend time with my two children and husband, enjoy riding my horse or going camping with my family.

I was born in Kinston, NC, but raised in Indianapolis, Indiana.  I have an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Ball State University.

After working in management for four years in a corporate setting, I decided to pivot towards dentistry since oral health and aesthetics have always been things that I am extremely passionate about.  I earned my certification through the Triangle School of Dental Assisting and joined the clinical team here at Altherr Orthodontics in the fall of 2022.  Orthodontics resonates with me because of how one's smile becomes improved with treatment.  I have a four year old daughter who is my little best friend and mini-me.  When I am not working, I enjoy working out and spending time with my daughter.

As a native of Apex, I am thrilled to be a part of a local business team that focuses on relationships so that you can trust working with someone who is part of the community like you.

I obtained my BS degree from Pensacola Christian College.  I started my career as a 2nd grade teacher, and prior to joining Altherr Orthodontics in the fall of 2021, I also worked in medical administration.  With my educational and work experience, I believe I am well equipped to help guide and educate you and your family through the orthodontic treatment process and towards a great smile and healthy bite.  I am married, and my husband and I enjoy trying all of the local places to to eat and anything in and on the water.  We welcomed a sweet baby boy to our family in August, 2022.  Also, please don't forget to ask me about the cute fur babies we have raised.  I look forward to meeting with you soon!

I was born in Northeastern Pennsylvania, but have moved up and down the east coast since graduating from Dental Assisting school in Pennsylvania in 2012.  I've been in Orthodontics now for over 10 years as a chairside assistant and treatment coordinator, and  joined the team in early 2023.

I've lived in central Vermont, Jacksonville, FL and now in Raleigh.  I love watching patients become more confident as their orthodontic treatment progresses.  In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my husband and our two cats, hiking and travelling.
