I started working in orthodontics in 1997, and joined this awesome team after relocating to NC from Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2011. I have the pleasure of working with kids and parents in many areas of the practice, including with new patients as they set up insurance and billing. I enjoy watching how orthodontics changes people’s lives for the better, and seeing their beautiful smiles once treatment is completed! I feel like the people I work with are my extended family. I enjoy coming to our office and getting to work with great professionals who help change our patients’ lives by giving them beautiful smiles.

I am married with one adult daughter and a black lab. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, music, boating, four wheeling, and doing just about anything outdoors.

I am at the front of the office to greet each patient and parent as they arrive for their appointment while also answering phones, scheduling patients for upcoming appointments, verifying insurance, and numerous other administrative duties. Our patients and their families are the foundation of our practice, and I work hard to build and maintain relationships with them. Our team is a family; we are there for each other on a daily basis. Dr. Altherr has a passion for what he does, which shows through to our team and patients.

I grew up on a farm and have a history of showing horses and breeding and showing Anatolian Shepherd dogs. I have been married to my husband Ed for almost a decade, and we have five grandchildren. I also love to quilt.

I graduated from Del Mar Community college in Texas with my Associates degree in Applied Science with Dental Assisting.  Soon after graduation, I moved to North Carolina.  I have been a dental assistant for 5 years, and I knew I had wanted to work in the dental field since I was eleven!  I had braces at the time, and when they came off, it was so rewarding!  Being able to help people restore their smile is the reason I love denistry.  I recently joined Dr. Altherr's office in July 2020.  I enjoy getting to know each patient and watching the confidence they build as we get closer to the end of treatment.  I am so thankful to be a part of such a diligent team.

My fiance and I have three beautiful and amazing children and a yellow lab.  We enjoy being outdoors.  We spend most of our time at the pool during the summer or by the fire pit in the winter with our family and friends.

I was born and raised in South Florida before moving to North Carolina in 2016.  I received my Associate in Arts at Wake Tech before deciding to become a certified dental assistant through Triangle School of Dental Assisting.  I started out in general dentistry, but I've always been passionate about orthodontics.  I love seeing the transformation our patients undergo through treatment!  I've been with Altherr Orthodontics since February, 2021, and I see each day as an opportunity to learn new things and see all of our wonderful patients.  I've been so grateful to have already built some lasting relationships with our team and patients.

In my spare time, I'm quite the home body!  I enjoy tending to my many houseplants, gaming and sewing.  I have four adorable pets (please ask me about them)!  I also love spending time with my amazing wife, hanging around the house or going thrift store shopping.

I am originally from a small town in Sampson county.  I have an Associate's degree from Samspon community college and a 2nd Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from South University in Savannah, Ga.  After being a certified nursing assistant for several years, I studied dental assisting at Sunrise School of dental assisting.  Prior to joining Altherr Orthodontics in the summer of 2021, I was in general dentistry for 5 years.  I am loving my new adventure in orthodontics, and it has already been very rewarding.  Dr. Altherr is great to work with, and a great educator.  I am glad to be a part of this amazing "A" team.

I am also a mother to three beautiful children.  My two oldest children are actually roommates and still live in the area on their own.  My youngest and I are roommates as well.  In my free time, I enjoy reading,  going to the gym, baking and going to the beach.  I am a big fan of meditating, which helps me unwind and end my day.

Bio coming soon.
